Rare White Tea Silver Feathers Tea Leaves
Silver Feathers White Tea from first planted Ceylon Tea Plants in 1840's

Meet Silver Feathers..

On a quiet morning, before the day asks anything of you, there’s a moment when the kettle hums, steam begins to rise, and time briefly slows.

Silver Feathers was created for moments like this.

Hand-plucked from the very first tea plants planted in Sri Lanka in the 1840s, this rare Silver Feathers white tea comes from a living piece of tea history. Today, only eight of these original plants remain, and it is from these few that Silver Feathers is carefully produced.

How does it taste?

A soft natural sweetness unfolds first, followed by delicate botanical notes and gentle hints of melon fruit. The texture is light, almost silken, leaving a calm, lingering finish rather than intensity.

In the cup, the tea is pure and elegant.

As a white tea, Silver Feathers contains slightly lower caffeine, offering a gentle awakening that supports balance and clarity — not stimulation for its own sake, but a steadier kind of energy.

Why is this rare white tea special?

This tea matters because it represents something increasingly rare:

Patience

Preservation

Craft

It is made slowly, in small quantities, and sun dried using traditional Sri Lankan methods that honour both the plant and its past. You can feel this in the leaves, you can smell this in the leaves, and you can taste this in the liquor.

Silver Feathers invites you to pause, sip, and enjoy — not just the tea, but the moment it creates.

And the magic of these leaves means that you can rebrew your tea 3 times; each time a different palette of flavours emerging from deep within the leaves.

How to brew this tea?

There are two things you want to ensure when brewing delicate white tea leaves.

First, ensure the water is not boiling, it needs to be around 70-80°C to ensure the leaves are not burnt.

Second, use filtered water if you can, the impurities in our every day tap water can interfere with the beautiful flavour notes produced by a delicate tea.
